The Weboree is THE premier annual weekend camping activity of the Northern New Jersey Council!  This year we anticipateclose to 750 participants and 150 staff members at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco on the weekend of April 24 to 26, 2015


Staff may arrive in camp starting Thursday afternoon (if you want to come earlier, please contact the Weboree chairmen). Staff meals will be provided in the dining hall starting with breakfast on Friday, and on through breakfast on Sunday. When registering, please indicate which meals you will be in camp for, so that we can plan food quantities accordingly.

Generally, staff are housed in their personal tents, at locations designated by the Campmaster.  There is a VERY limited availability of cabin space for staff sleeping.  We also request that, to the extent possible, you carpool with other staff/participants to minimize the already heavy demand on the available parking facilities.

We have the following expectations of all staff members:

  • Be an emissary for the Scouting program.  This includes making rounds through the campsites late Saturday afternoon and early evening (between end of stations and start of campfire – pre/post dinner) with a smile;
  • Actively help out when/where needed – if you are not busy at any time, there is probably something that needs doing – please ask, do not just sit around.  If you are asked, you are expected to help. A Scout is HELPFUL;
  • Wear your uniform;
  • Know your stuff – especially those who are running a station.

In addition, we have the following requirements for all youth staff:

  • Be at least 1st Class rank and have spent at least 1 year in Boy Scout Summer Camp;
  • Have parent’s approval/permission and unit leader’s recommendation, as shown by their signatures on Staff Registration (all youth staff).  Den Chiefs must also have the same forms. 

As part of their basic fee, Staff will receive the following:

  • All staff meals – Friday breakfast through Sunday breakfast;
  • Weboree 2015 Staff Hat Pin;
  • Staff T-shirt with logo;
  • Staff Patch;
  • Name Tag with Logo;
  • Certificate of Appreciation;
  • A fond memory to look back on, and to get ready for next year!

Staff Shirts: This year, we will again have staff shirts with an embroidered logo.  We are offering two options: You may have a T-shirt, or Polo shirt (extra charge for Polo shirt – see form).

Due to lead-time required to have the embroidery done, staff registration must be received no later than 4/6/15 for us to guarantee that you will get your shirt size and type.

Den Chiefs of Participating Webelos Dens: We encourage Den Chiefs of participating Webelos Dens to attend Weboree as members of Staff.  You will be assigned (to the extent possible) as Trail Guide for the group of Webelos Scouts or Adults of your Den during the trail on Saturday.  You will get all of the staff “swag”, including meals. During non-trail times, you are encouraged to work with your Den setting up camp, preparing meals, and practicing their song/skit/cheer for the campfire.

Special staff price for Den Chief/Trail Guides:  Den Chiefs and Trail Guides enjoy a reduced staff fee of $25. This offer is limited to 1 Den Chief per every 16 registered Webelos in the Den/Pack that Den Chief is representing
