The cost of Scouting is like an Iceberg Click to Learn More Friends of Scouting (FOS) is a fundraising campaign of the Northern New Jersey Council, Boy Scouts of America in which individuals, businesses, organizations, and families are asked to financially support the Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs in our Community. The 2009 Annual Budget for the Northern New Jersey Council was about $3,500,000. What has changed in the past few years is the amount of support we can count on from our local United Ways. In the past few years, United Way support is down $200,000! $500,000 over the past ten years! This means that the Northern New Jersey Council needs your financial support more than ever. You can support them by becoming a "Friend of Scouting."
