NNJC Weekend Camping

The Northern New Jersey Council makes five of its properties available for Short-term camping to Packs, Troops, and Crews from the Northern New Jersey Council and other area Councils.  Short-term camping opportunities at our properties generally are available September through June, with a few exceptions.

An Overview of our Properties 

  • Camp Alpine (NJ) - Several tent sites to choose from, ideal overnight location for the Palisades Historic Trail. Camp is located in Alpine, NJ
  • Camp Lewis -  Several cabins, tent sites and leantos to choose from in Marcella, NJ. COPE is available on certain dates (seperate registration is required)
  • Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco - Several cabins, tent sites and leantos to choose from.  Great hiking trails in and around camp (Applaician Trail) near Blairstown, NJ
  • Camp Turrell - Several cabins, tent sites and leantos to choose from. Great camping facilities near Port Jervis, NY.
  • Camp Yaw Paw - Several cabins, tent sites and leantos to choose from, close by in Mahwah, NJ
  • Friday PM Check In is 7PM-10PM at all of our camps

  • Reservations are not confirmed unless paid in full. You may not clear an outstanding balance at camp.

  • COPE registration at Camp Lewis does not guarantee a camping reservation. Each requires a seperate registration.

  • NNJC has the right to change reservations any time.

  • Your receipt is your confirmed reservation.

  • Cancellations with less than 30 days notice entitle unit to a 50% refund, less than 14 days, no refund 

  • There is a ($50) fifty dollar Damage/Utility deposit due when you check in at camp, unless otherwise notified. This money will be returned to you prior to leaving camp after any utility costs or damage bills are paid.

  • Dining Hall Facilities in ALL CAMPS are not avaliable as sleeping reservations.
