As always, the safety of our Scouts, volunteers, employees and communities is our top
priority. The BSA has issued guidelines for Restarting Scouting Checklist. This outlines several minimum guiding protocols that adult leaders/ volunteers must consider while working with local and state health departments, local councils, chartered organizations, and Scouting families. This checklist should be used to assist with resuming meetings, service projects, camping and all other official Scouting activities.
Scouting remains the premier year-round youth development organization in the USA and the Northern New Jersey Council has been recognized as one of the most successful councils in the country. In order to continue delivering the highest quality Scouting program and to meet the rising costs of doing business as a non-profit organization, NNJC made the difficult decision to implement a new program fee of $24 for adult leaders and Explorers, and $48 per Scout in all other programs. This amounts to $2 to $4 per month to support council programs, camps, etc.
The Boy Scouts of America offers on online application process for youth and adults that can be completed from start to finish without a single piece of paper changing hands. This allows prospective members and leaders to register and pay in a way that’s convenient for them, and it creates a more efficient and user-friendly registration experience for units, districts, and councils.
